Studying the Holocaust: Resistance Rescue, and Survival
The Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center partnered with the Seattle Times NIE Program to create and publish this series of 14 articles and accompanying teacher guides.Appearing in the Seattle Times from April 19 - June 2, 2005, the articles explore the Holocaust and issues relevant to today: moral courage, civil liberties, and social responsibility. Integrated into these themes are stories of local survivors. The teacher guide offers additional background information, quotes from local survivors, activities, and suggested resources. For grades 7-12.
